Jamie has been passionate about glass and glazing since 1997, starting his career as a glazing apprentice, and also has experience installing windows, doors, and conservatories.
In 2003, Jamie founded our sister company, 1st Glass Services, specializing in manufacturing double and triple-glazed units along with a wide range of other glass products. Under his leadership, the business has flourished.

As the company grew, Jamie noticed an increasing demand for slim, heritage-style sealed units. Drawing on his extensive experience in both glazing and manufacturing, Jamie recognized the limitations of low sightline units, which often failed prematurely, resulting in frequent replacements for customers. This inspired him to seek a better, more sustainable solution—and he discovered vacuum glass.

After researching various vacuum glass products, Jamie determined that LandVac was the best option for his customers. He subsequently launched 1st Vacuum Glass, operating alongside 1st Glass Services, to meet this demand with a superior solution.
